Music Therapy Services
for families experiencing chronic conditions
Improving social, emotional, and cognitive well-being through music
Music Therapy is a highly-individualized creative arts therapy, uniquely suited to promote cognitive, social, and emotional well-being for individuals and families facing neurological and chronic health challenges
Good candidates for Music Therapy include individuals seeking creative methods to improve mood, self-expression, socialization, relaxation, family/caregiver connections, coping with challenging diagnoses, and pain management.
Just as a client receiving Physical Therapy need not be an athlete, Music Therapy participants do not need any prior experience with music. We are all inherently musical, and Music Therapists leverage our inner creativity within the therapeutic process to achieve functional goals.

How it Works
We offer a wide range of Music Therapy services to promote well-being and meet personalized goals. In all cases, our treatment process follows these same steps:
1) Intake: We gather information to best meet your needs. This often includes an initial intake session where we get to know you and explore a variety of ways we can connect using music.
2) Goal Setting: We establish a treatment plan that aligns with your personal goals and our findings during the initial session.
3) Implementation: We work with you on a regular basis that best fits your schedule and goals.
4) Evaluation: We regularly assess your progress alongside your feedback from sessions and make adjustments as needed and desired.
Our Services
-
One-on-one services tailored to your unique needs. Sessions may include singing, discussing meaningful music, exploring instruments, movement to music, songwriting, learning an instrument, or relaxation techniques.
-
Services tailored to small-group goals such as: social connection, movement to music, building coping skills, promoting cognition and self-expression, and relaxation. Services can occur in-home or in a community space.
-
Services tailored to a family-unit that occur in home. Foster meaningful connections, process a difficult experience/diagnosis, and build new communication skills through family music therapy sessions.
-
Legacy sessions refer to services for individuals and families on a hospice or complex diagnosis journey. Legacy sessions are geared towards creating meaningful musical artifacts (Recordings or songs written with patients, songs including an individual’s heartbeat for family to keep, and other life-review projects). Legacy sessions can occur standalone or during the course of individual/family sessions for clients who would benefit from tangible musical memories.
-
Services tailored to your professional team to build capacity and embolden members to reach larger organizational initiatives. Participants of team-building workshops often report a renewed sense of community and inspiration towards their work.

About Me
Beth has worked alongside clients and families experiencing neurological disorders and other complex health conditions since 2017. She has held several leadership roles at leading long-term care organizations and served as a private consultant to families and communities seeking the outcomes that clinical Music Therapy can provide (improved quality of life, self-expression, relationship building, and pain management, to name a few).
The greatest joys of her work surround bearing witness to breakthroughs and connections that others previously considered lost or inaccessible due to a client’s condition. Beth is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals and families experiencing complex health conditions through highly individualized Music Therapy services.
“Music Therapy was the weekly elixir in my mom’s life.”
